So Saban Brands bought up Power Rangers or, depending on who you ask, Haim Saban stormed into Disney headquarters on his pet unicorn and, with his bow, arrow and hand grenade, held Mickey and Minnie hostage until he got what he wanted. Either way, he got it.

So what now? Tyler is joined by Shamus, Chris Funaro, Derik, Tom C, Tom M and Ryland as we break down what happened, why it happened and what this means for the fans.

And a moment of silence as MMPRv2 approaches a swift demise in a few months. We barely knew ye. We barely wanted to know ye.

Between the time this episode got edited and a certain somebody got around to posting, some major news broke. Go figure. Anywho, this was recorded a good while ago. Pretend it's new as Tyler, Shamus, Tom M. and sorta Ryland talk about:

With the nice round number and the ridiculous amount of time it took to get it edited, you might think episode 150 would be a milestone epic. Hah, no. We've got Shamus, though! The video whiz joins Rangercast from... well, actually, sitting right next to Tyler. So for the first time EVER, Tyler can be hit every time he makes a bad pun. Tyler and friend-of-the-show Walter Fletcher (you may know him as Shadowguyver in some circles) preach the gospel to an audience of impressionable otaku. Then at some point, MMPR mastermind and Katsucon guest Tony Oliver pops in, sits down and talks about the good old days, the moment when he first realized PR was a hit, working on the Dragon Knight game and what he thinks about MMPRv2, among other things.

Well, actually, it is. Today marked the premiere (?) of the "reversioning" (as Disney calls it) of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. BANG WHOOSH KAZAAM POW!! Or something like that.
