“Percy Jackson and the Olympians” showrunners Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz are in talks to write and helm a new Power Rangers series on Disney+, TheWrap reports.

TheWrap reports the series will be produced by Hasbro Entertainment and 20th Television for Disney+.

Steinberg and Shotz, his producing partner, are fresh off a slew of wins for "Percy Jackson" last week at the Children & Family Emmys. The show was awarded the Emmy for Outstanding Young Teen Series. Steinberg won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Young Teen Program.

Steinberg co-created the FX series "The Old Man," starring Jeff Bridges.

After the sale of Entertainment One to Lionsgate in 2023, Hasbro announced its entertainment arm would focus on licensing properties like Power Rangers to outside studios.

Previously, Jonathan Entwistle signed a deal with Entertainment One to oversee a new Power Rangers universe. He tapped writer and producer Jenny Klein to helm a new Power Rangers series for Netflix. The Netflix deal fell apart last June.

Hasbro paid $522 million to acquire Power Rangers and related Saban Brands properties in 2018.
