This was recorded a loooong while ago, but then Tyler started a full-time job and things got weird. Tyler, Eric, Ryland, Tom (y3k) and Jadan chime in as we break down the topics of two weeks ago. Tonight: -Does ANYONE still care about MMPRv2? -New guests for PMC -Dragon Knight. It won an Emmy. Eew. -Casting has begun (and is probably now almost over) for PR2011 -Eric has awful taste in music. So Saban Brands bought up Power Rangers or, depending on who you ask, Haim Saban stormed into Disney headquarters on his pet unicorn and, with his bow, arrow and hand grenade, held Mickey and Minnie hostage until he got what he wanted. Either way, he got it. So what now? Tyler is joined by Shamus, Chris Funaro, Derik, Tom C, Tom M and Ryland as we break down what happened, why it happened and what this means for the fans. And a moment of silence as MMPRv2 approaches a swift demise in a few months. We barely knew ye. We barely wanted to know ye. Comments[28]

Between the time this episode got edited and a certain somebody got around to posting, some major news broke. Go figure. Anywho, this was recorded a good while ago. Pretend it's new as Tyler, Shamus, Tom M. and sorta Ryland talk about: -where the heck we've been -the passing of Carl Macek -MMPRv2... there's a thing Comments[13]

With the nice round number and the ridiculous amount of time it took to get it edited, you might think episode 150 would be a milestone epic. Hah, no. We've got Shamus, though! The video whiz joins Rangercast from... well, actually, sitting right next to Tyler. So for the first time EVER, Tyler can be hit every time he makes a bad pun. Also joining us: Both Toms (y3k and MysticSentai). Today: -Jason David Frank beat up some dude -It's Go-sei-jaa. Not Gosaiguh. Sorry Tom C. But anyway, how is it? -MMPR. Kind of OK, just like the good old days. -State of the Podcast: Not dead yet. Also, check us out at Balticon! Comments[33]

Recorded at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md., on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2010. Tyler and friend-of-the-show Walter Fletcher (you may know him as Shadowguyver in some circles) preach the gospel to an audience of impressionable otaku. Then at some point, MMPR mastermind and Katsucon guest Tony Oliver pops in, sits down and talks about the good old days, the moment when he first realized PR was a hit, working on the Dragon Knight game and what he thinks about MMPRv2, among other things. (If somebody out there has a picture of us doing our thing at Katsu, please pass it along this way.) Next time, more from Katsucon, what's new with PMC, Jason David Frank's badassery dissected and the peanut gallery discusses ABC's Mighty Morphin' Power Reruns. Edit: We did take the episode offline briefly to address a tech issue a little while ago. It is back up and working now. Comments[14]

Tyler, back from London, finally got around to editing and recording another episode with the gang. Sorry for the delay -- real life is a pain. Today's panel: Tyler, Tom M, Chris, Jesse "SirStack" Herndon Chris and Jesse talk Power Morphicon. No, the Silver Ranger membership's late release was not a ploy. How has the "reversioning" of MMPR been going? And why you should pay attention to this Twitter page. Also, we're pleased to announce Rangercast will have a "live" (for the people there, not for people on this site) recording at Katsucon next weekend in National Harbor, Md. Come on down! Comments[12]

This is not a repeat from 1993.
Well, actually, it is. Today marked the premiere (?) of the "reversioning" (as Disney calls it) of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. BANG WHOOSH KAZAAM POW!! Or something like that. The big questions: Is it any good? And will it work? Tyler tackles the big questions in this short episode of Rangercast. Why the rush? He has a plane to catch, so no episodes until at least January 21. See you when we come back! Comments[10]

Well, ladies and gents, this is it. The series finale of Power Rangers as we know it. RPM has been great fun, but it's time to break it down. Tonight an overloaded crew (Tyler, Chris, Ryland, Tom C, Tom M, Evan and Darrin) run down the finale, "Danger and Destiny" and how RPM holds up as a whole in the Hall of Legends, as it were. Naturally, there was a lot to talk about. Our chat, recorded Sunday night, went long. Way long. Like two-plus hours. So not everybody could even stick with us the entire time. Maybe it's for the best. Otherwise we might still be recording.
Also, rampant fan conjecture needs to stop. Seriously. We also have three voicemails from our listeners about what MMPR means to them. Thanks to those who sent in their thoughts. On Saturday, Tyler will be doing a solo show before he jets off to London breaking down the basics of the remastered MMPR episodes "Day of the Dumpster" and "High Five." So keep an eye out for that. Unless, of course, Tyler gets a control tower dropped on him. That seems to happen every now and then. Reports of this site's impending death have been greatly exaggerated. We've got some awesome stuff in 2010, but a lot of it involves events, plane tickets of even just some lines of code here and there, so there's not much to really talk about just yet. We can assure you we're not going anywhere. Have a happy and safe New Year from all of us at Rangercast! Comments[18]

Tyler, Tom M. and Darrin take on the Kamen Rider Dragon Knight finale. Not because we want to. Rather, because it is our solemn duty. Where did this promising show go wrong? Find out.
Also, summaries for MMPRv2 are hitting online listing sites and cable systems. But some stations, like Baltimore's WMAR, are convinced they're airing Jungle Fury. God, no. And in less than 48 hours (depending on where you are), the series finale of Power Rangers is set to air. Prepare for some awesome. Comments[21]

Two new episodes of Power Rangers RPM ("If Venjix Won" and "End Game") come and save us from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight and remind us what it's like to have shows that don't suck. Tyler, Ryland, Tom C, Darrin and Eric (MegaRyu124x) talk about what went right, what went wrong and what just didn't make a whole lot of sense.
As for Dragon Knight, we'll have a full breakdown (there's a fitting word if I've ever heard one) of the show's thrilling conclusion next time on Rangercast. Ugh. Tom M. spent his weekend watching the whole show marathon-style. He'll try to bust out of his strait jacket long enough to join us. In RB Masterpiece Theater, EZ Rider shares his thoughts with the world. Comments[6]
