NoB, the Japanese singer known for his work with the Super Sentai series and Saint Seiya franchise, is canceling events due to health reasons.

He is canceling a two-show stop in Mexico on March 29 and 30, and the Taro Kobayashi Festival on March 8.
Yasutaka Sagae, representative director for MOJOST, NoB's agency, revealed in a statement that the singer was diagnosed seven years ago with kidney cancer. Just before a scheduled overseas performance last April, he felt unwell and it was discovered he had what was described as a non-cancerous brain tumor.
He will instead participate in "acoustic and other seated events," along with less-demanding live performances.
NoB, whose real name is Nobuo Yamada, rose to fame in the 1980s as member of the Japanese rock band Make-Up. The band recorded several songs for Saint Seiya. NoB later sang the opening themes for GouGou Sentai Boukenger, Tensou Sentai Goseiger and Super Sentai Strongest Battle, along with a number of other tracks as part of Project.R, the Toei-Nippon Columbia ensemble of Sentai series musicians.
