Power Morphicon 2024 Retrospective

[00:00:06] This is Rangercast Episode 3, Power Morphicon 2024 Retrospective, Rangercast Record on Sunday, September 1, 2024

[00:00:16] In this episode, announcements about games and comics, and it took Soutzu mother load out of Oda-Kong.

[00:00:40] Alright everyone, I'm Tyler Bitterner, as you don't want to end up with me.

[00:00:45] Hello everybody, thanks for joining us. You know, last time we had Power Morphicon, but to this time we had Power Morphicon,

[00:00:51] we have had 26 episodes of Rangercast, which hey, that's more than the real show.

[00:00:59] You know what? What's in about to hit the books like that? You know, but um, wow, yeah, you know, it feels weird.

[00:01:05] I think it was during PMC, we ended up having to do an emergency episode.

[00:01:09] It was like the 4th episode as though the new version of this show where they dropped,

[00:01:16] they dropped convict hearing news on us and that was huge.

[00:01:19] I vividly remember coming out of one of the panel rooms and seeing you just kind of hunkered in the hallway of where all the panel, your emergency podcasting.

[00:01:29] Yeah, yeah, um, you know, because everything was kind of just turned upside down all of a sudden.

[00:01:36] So we're going to talk about this use PMC, which just last weekend.

[00:01:41] So yeah, we have a lot of news to go through almost none of it for once from PMC.

[00:01:48] But this stuff happens when you know, you go and month or two without recording an episode.

[00:01:53] So first off, um, Power Rangers Day on August 28 came and went with almost no acknowledgement, actually exactly no acknowledgement has brought it all.

[00:02:05] They last tweeted from the power and just account sometimes shortly after cosmic furry premiered.

[00:02:11] I'm not sure if there's anybody even really assigned to the branded all there anymore.

[00:02:16] And that's a jump, the gun a little bit, but I know it was not mentioned at all during Power Morphicon.

[00:02:21] I know that there was discussion behind the scenes of what weekend actually have it this year because obviously we're recording this on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, which is September 1st.

[00:02:32] Yeah, and Power Rangers Day haven't fallen a Wednesday this year. So it became the argument of do we have it the weekend after or the weekend before.

[00:02:41] And everybody decided the weekend before was the best because it would be easier for people for traveling purposes.

[00:02:48] And just logistically to be able to get the maximum number of guests there. So that's why it wasn't really mentioned it was kind of assumed but not spoken that the convention would take the place of Power Rangers day if you will.

[00:03:03] Right, but despite the silence on part of Hasbro a lot of fans were on Twitter and such talking out there.

[00:03:13] Favorite moments in what they series means to them. And 31 isn't really around number, but it was nice for people to.

[00:03:27] And reflect, but I mean, you know the show's dead, but there's still a lot of stuff to talk about that's why you have so much news.

[00:03:36] But because the show's dead when thing you got to do when you're not going to make a show, you got to auction off all the stuff you're not using and we learned a few weeks ago.

[00:03:48] The heritage auctions in November of over 12th to the 24th will be auction off 900 lots spanning.

[00:03:57] The three decade history of the show basically everything that hasn't met the wood chipper yet everything that Simon Bennett said got shipped back from Auckland to the States or probably almost everything.

[00:04:08] I don't know where the good what Hasbro has that would be keeping everything must go basically other than that.

[00:04:14] I saw some people upset by that when the picture started being revealed and like how can they possibly auction off this stuff. This is a process that's very common.

[00:04:24] I don't want people to think that this is just a history spectacle towards the franchise. This is just how the industry works.

[00:04:31] Yeah, I mean, I was probably as a Canadian on Museum.

[00:04:35] Exactly. And a storage cost money.

[00:04:39] I mean, by the time the show wrapped up in New Zealand, they were using several different facilities just to store stuff and power anchors is a show that builds up a lot of props and wardrobe.

[00:04:51] And the same thing happened in the early 2000s after Disney franchise, they were clearing the warehouse and a lot of those monster suits that weren't sent to the wood chipper.

[00:05:05] And so we're auctioned off for some cases hundreds of hundred or dollars in 2001 money or 2002 money, you should say.

[00:05:14] But what 2000s is whatever.

[00:05:17] And it will be interesting to see exactly what is being made available and what it goes for.

[00:05:24] And some of this stuff is probably still in pretty good condition. Like, you know, all those how much they used in super mega force for example. So it will be interesting to see like what's being offered and.

[00:05:38] You know, how nice it looks and or maybe some like the beesmorphers monster suits that were actually refravifications because they couldn't get the ones from gobusters.

[00:05:48] Right because gobusters was so far removed by when the time they got around to doing beesmorphers.

[00:05:53] That's right, they had to rebuild everything are mostly everything. So I mean, I'm I'm a grad school. I probably don't have the money to.

[00:06:06] To get my hands on something from the show, but you know, good luck. You know, happy until if you are.

[00:06:12] And in the world of games, we're learning more today about reading rewind, which is playable at packs west this weekend.

[00:06:22] Digital clips that developer says will be out by the end of the year on all platforms, Xbox team, PlayStation switch and it'll be only digital for now.

[00:06:35] Physical version that's not quite decided yet. You can wish list it now on PlayStation and steam and the green ranger is unlockable after you beat the campaign.

[00:06:47] Wow, talk about an announcement that nobody was surprised by everybody knew the green ranger skin would be in there.

[00:06:54] In some variety. So when they made this big announcement like just so everybody knows we're going to have the green ranger in this money more from power Rangers devoted to he okay, I just thought it was funny that they tried to keep it a secret.

[00:07:08] There's nothing stopping them from having other Rangers in there.

[00:07:13] Yeah, wake me when there's a dark rangers unlockable. I want my ugly piecemeal suit to play as.

[00:07:21] Well, the other game that's that people are talking about out now is power just money force which just released on.

[00:07:30] On mobile and it's um, it's a money sink, but the writing is at least interesting.

[00:07:38] I suppose that there's some love put into it.

[00:07:41] Yeah, you can tell that the people writing this game actually watched the show.

[00:07:46] Oh, is it good thing to see?

[00:07:48] Yeah, um, you know, as opposed to, you know, the people putting up toys.

[00:07:56] It's nice to see that they have a nice variety of yeah, that's the thing. That was the pleasant surprise. It wasn't all in MPR.

[00:08:04] They got some dyno charge in there. You got some alien Rangers in there. Some time force ninja steel RPM, some super mega force. So they have a nice variety throughout the 30 plus years of the franchise.

[00:08:18] Yeah, yeah. Also, like the dyno fury soundtrack, the Cosmography soundtrack composed by Bert Selling is now on streaming hits dreaming in August second and it's really good to finally see power just soundtrack on streaming.

[00:08:36] You once and always is on there.

[00:08:39] Jumped go for your rate the first part of the jungle fury soundtrack is on their random.

[00:08:42] Um, though there aren't necessary. I mean, even though it's good in the context of show there aren't a lot of tracks that would probably plan repeat except for maybe like, you know, the more theme, the more theme, the more theme, more theme or something like that.

[00:09:01] Yeah, it's one of those trends that's happened in the past couple years where you had to really dig through, you know, a TVPMM and a bunch of other dark web websites to get soundtracks of shows.

[00:09:12] And the reason why they haven't been available is because people didn't think there was an audience for it. They didn't think the demand was there. So for people to be able to preserve these soundtracks and for people to be able to purchase them, it gives a little bit of love to, you know, the composers of these shows and it's nice to see that archive. Obviously, you know, it's a niche item when they put these online people not everybody's going to go there.

[00:09:36] But it is a nice, you know, for the people that want it, there's an as long as it's preserved media. There's no reason for it not to be available and it gives kickbacks to the composers, which they may have not received when they worked on the show. So it's pretty much a win-win for everybody involved.

[00:09:51] Yeah, it would have been nice, you know, just thinking about it as I've, you know, look at the soundtrack on Apple Music. It would have been nice if the theme if the soundtrack worked in a little more like of the MMPR music related to Lord Zed.

[00:10:11] But that's a complaint for Donnie Fury too, but on the other hand, we're not the target audience and the target demo probably doesn't really remember what, you know, that music sound like back of the day.

[00:10:24] Do you disagree? I think we actually are the target audience for the official soundtrack because what's the story, I mean the score of the show.

[00:10:32] Yeah, but all I see when it actually comes to producing the music, but I'm putting the songs on various outlets for people to purchase no seven year olds be like, hey, mommy, I just watched Power Rangers Cosmic Fury on Netflix and it was really good. And you buy me the soundtrack that played during episode eight.

[00:10:52] That's not going to happen. Yeah, yeah.

[00:10:58] Let's begin a thing that probably are a little more in our wheels. Rather, you know, where we're fully the closer an age when it aired to the target demo of the Power Rangers Mystic Force.

[00:11:07] Nick Sams and who played ship and Power Rangers Mystic Force recently had a show at the Edinburgh Fringe titled Yellow Power Ranger.

[00:11:18] And it's a one-man show about him trying to reunite the cast that I convention.

[00:11:26] The show, you know, if you want to see it, you're too late and also it's an Edinburgh. It wasn't Edinburgh.

[00:11:34] Speaking to the tabulate Metro in the UK, he reflected on his time the show.

[00:11:41] He said that he lived in Wellington at the time when he got the job and he had to move up to Auckland and live in a hotel for six months and it was a bit traumatic.

[00:11:53] He couldn't cook for himself. So he was all his acting money at the hotel. He said, the first time he tried to cook meal for himself.

[00:12:00] He says, I think I made tense spaghetti and I put eggs in it. It was just an awful meal. I was like, maybe I'll just order a room service.

[00:12:07] He said his parents wanted to make sure he saved every money while you're working on the show.

[00:12:11] I was like, well, I don't think I'll ever have to work again. But by the end of the season he said he'd spent most of his Power Rangers money on the hotel.

[00:12:18] He sort of lived off from money for a while then he got a job at a bakery and he said having to get up really early to do that was definitely an unbelievable experience.

[00:12:27] So Power Rangers made him into a very particular type of actor, which is a Power Ranger actor, which is a good point.

[00:12:34] I think it makes, you know, that it's a certain type of acting that isn't necessarily portable.

[00:12:38] He said he would go to an audition for these quite serious roles and be a little too big and probably do in too many kicks or something.

[00:12:45] But eventually he landed gigs like the broken woodman's mysteries. He was on that for seven seasons.

[00:12:51] And it's show that you may be able to watch your local PBS station or certainly at a corn TV.

[00:12:58] Yeah, and it's a lot of people were surprised how much he referenced Power Rangers experience in this one man show.

[00:13:07] A couple of people were positing the idea that well if he's able to talk about this would he potentially do power more for kind of a simple end the line.

[00:13:16] Because as far as I know he's never done it. And I know that there were talks of trying to get him to do it because Mr. Force had a really good showing this time around if Melanie and not canceled and Nick did not have this instead would have had the court team.

[00:13:32] What if everybody there? I know they were really gunning for that this time around.

[00:13:36] So yeah, I would say it's possible for him to do it in the future, especially if he's that willing to talk about it.

[00:13:41] Yeah, the one man show obviously took priority. That was a pre-existing arrangement that he had.

[00:13:46] Yeah, but you know he's a busy guy. Good friend.

[00:13:49] Yes, it's always good to see people from the show in any capacity. I can get that money and get that work.

[00:13:56] And pivoting to comic news there is in Usagi, Ojimbo team up coming as a one shot written by Ryan Parrot.

[00:14:05] This is due out on September 25th. Here is the synopsis from Boom Studios during a routine readable poll set attack.

[00:14:16] Rangers Morphers do something unexpected by hurling them back to the Edo area of Japan upon arriving at their historic destination.

[00:14:23] Mysterious Ogaswata begs their Rangers for their help. But the enemy they face isn't what they were expecting.

[00:14:29] And our band of heroes will have to face a painful revelation. They want to save the day in return home.

[00:14:36] Yeah, whenever I see the word mysterious and a power Rangers description, I keep getting Samuel bent to flashbacks, which is a little bit scary.

[00:14:42] But whenever I hear about something going to the Ado era of Japan, I don't know how familiar you listeners are with Super Sentai, but

[00:14:49] I love to go back to the Ado era of Japan all the time. And it's a little surprising that it has taken power Rangers and any capacity this long to do it.

[00:15:00] When was the episode Samurai set?

[00:15:05] Samurai. Oh god, it's been so long since I've seen some of the flashbacks, I guess.

[00:15:11] Oh, oh, are you talking about power Rangers Samurai? Are you talking about the show Samurai?

[00:15:17] Oh, yeah, from me.

[00:15:18] I mean, was that even a flashback? I thought that he came to 2025?

[00:15:26] No, no, the alien, like the flashback with like the with that correct actor.

[00:15:31] Oh yes, I think that was Ado era and that might have been the only time in the show. So it's been a teen years?

[00:15:38] Is the franchise as touched?

[00:15:39] Yeah, yeah. I don't know why randomly thought of that.

[00:15:42] Weird filler episode of SPD.

[00:15:44] I mean, I'm not necessarily, I think it was like the first time we saw the bowl of light.

[00:15:50] One of the first, but they brought the ball of light a couple times throughout before it was introduced as the Omega Rangers.

[00:15:57] So you could, it's one of those episodes where it's not one of the first ones you think of when thinking of SPD and retrospect.

[00:16:04] Yeah, that's right. Here's some slightly more interesting comic news. Boom studios announced power Rangers across the Morphan grid.

[00:16:13] Kind of following up the return by having anthology of stories written by David Yoos Walter Jones, Steve Cardinis Matt Grume, Nikita Berries,

[00:16:23] Jady Sutton, Megamira, most of those people have something common being former Rangers.

[00:16:30] They get to explore stories of interest to them within the Power Rangers universe.

[00:16:36] And as Damon released a by-boom studios, David Yoos said it's quote, a true honor to work with all the talented people of Bloom Studios into be asked to write the story based like character Billy.

[00:16:46] I had so much fun imagining where Billy would be a 28 years old. A trust fan's will enjoy my story and all of various stories being told in his anthology.

[00:16:56] And they kind of give hints as to what their stories might touch on, Steve Cardinis who wrote his story with Matt Grume said,

[00:17:06] I'm so excited that Boom Studios is expanding the Morphan grid anthology and looks like I'm nectineless.

[00:17:12] I've had the great privilege in the past to briefly work with Bloom about Rocky as background, but now I have the opportunity creating cool ad until my own story has a dream come true for me.

[00:17:21] And a key of a re-esteezing her of story asked whatever happened to Tanya and Adam.

[00:17:26] Maybe something that would bridge the gap between the last time we saw their characters and their appearance in a once-in-allways working with the pre-curse or to SPD.

[00:17:40] Making Camarena who played Chloe in Power Rangers type of forest will return to the first world once again in this anthology.

[00:17:54] So she promises burritos that's one thing we know we can see.

[00:17:58] I mean when you have a franchise as long as it has been, obviously we'll have gaps in storytelling especially between appearances of the old guard when they come back for anniversary specials and stuff.

[00:18:11] So the untapped potential was certainly there but it is nice to see them being able to utilize the comics to bridge those gaps and tell some stories that may not necessarily have fit the confines of the television show.

[00:18:26] Yeah, yeah and this one shot will be an anthology I should say we available in your local comic shop and an additional store at friends October 30th.

[00:18:37] It's not power Rangers day.

[00:18:41] No no it's not did they not get the memo?

[00:18:44] So the more consequential power just comic news isn't about one shot but it's about the new comic series, Power Rangers Prime.

[00:18:51] This was tipped off at San Diego Comic Con but we didn't quite know all about what Power Rangers Prime was because you see number you know Prime number one, but that could mean a one shot can mean anything.

[00:19:05] But in late August, boom, pseudo did announce that would be the new Power Rangers series going forward.

[00:19:13] I talked to Melissa for as briefly at her table and she said this is something kind of pitched to her.

[00:19:20] And it presents an opportunity to kind of like start a fresh and not be weighed down by everything we know from the show.

[00:19:29] In interview with IGN she said Cal Higgins you started amazing run, so I'd very distinctly that he wasn't telling Power Rangers the way it was which seemed a younger kid's little can't be a little over top.

[00:19:39] He was telling Power Rangers the way he remembered it making him feel and that always really stuck with me.

[00:19:44] I always thought that was really incredible these books really took the characters that you fell in love with and treated them so much respect in terms of really digging to their character arcs

[00:19:51] And establishing who they were as people what the power meant for them.

[00:19:54] We able to do so many amazing things these incredible writers came with these amazing new characters that only exist in this comic book world and the fans and general just fell in love.

[00:20:06] So rather than focusing on you and PR's over again, the new series focuses on Lauren Sheba from Power Rangers Super Samurai who when we see her she's on the run from an authoritarian police force and they're hunting her down because she's a power Ranger and she's come to where else but Angel Grove for says for a very specific reason and she runs in trouble.

[00:20:28] We start to meet other characters either help her or hurt her depending how they feel about power Rangers.

[00:20:34] We see us new Angel Grove and how it came to be and there's no resort on either so all the characters need to kind of figure it all out in their own.

[00:20:43] A very specific reason she came to Angel Grove brand recognition.

[00:20:47] Well, nearly everybody came to Angel Grove and those are our leaders.

[00:20:50] Where's Don Canyon?

[00:20:51] Yeah, this is true.

[00:20:54] But she says that the like the highlight for her is that quote, the entire zeitgeist of power Rangers is open to us.

[00:21:02] I can't explain why that is not yet.

[00:21:05] We get to play with some really fun characters.

[00:21:07] We look at every single character of power Rangers, not just in my own power, but all over the place like it said we have Lauren and Samurai.

[00:21:13] There's Meg Forest character in there.

[00:21:15] We've already talked with the jungle for your characters.

[00:21:17] They will show up in different ways, not the ways made of you, expectment show up.

[00:21:21] And if she kind of compares us to Marvel's ultimate flying in the way it puts a new spin on the mythos.

[00:21:30] Someone who does not really partake in the comics, which I've nothing against the comics has just never been my scene.

[00:21:35] I'm sure this is really exciting for those who are and as I mentioned previously, is nothing but untathed potential.

[00:21:43] You can pretty much do whatever you want, so I'm excited to see where it goes.

[00:21:47] Yeah, the designs for the book or by Dan Moora and the art for this series is by Michael Ying.

[00:21:57] And it shows in and it shows in November, November 13th to be exact.

[00:22:05] It's available for a pre-order at the comic shop, digital copies are available from all of the usual suspects.

[00:22:13] So if anybody wondering if you know if the end of the storyline meant that the comics were going away entirely,

[00:22:22] that is not the case and apparently they're in it for the long haul.

[00:22:27] And you love to see it.

[00:22:29] Even though the continuity of the old comics is over, if you want to catch up on all the old comics,

[00:22:37] if you go on the humble bubble website, you can get a bundle of everything that's out-to-date except for the return.

[00:22:47] All digital, of course, they're not going to send you a big old buck,

[00:22:51] but you can get darkest hour number one, the archives which is huge.

[00:22:59] Everything from Shatter Grid, the Pink Mini series, the, you know, the Dragon stuff, since the future,

[00:23:10] is psychopath in here?

[00:23:13] No, I don't think it is, but there it is, there it is.

[00:23:17] Oh yeah, so basically nearly everything that has been put out for the comics to date.

[00:23:22] You can technically give as much as much as little as you like.

[00:23:26] They're asking you to pay at least $25 for all 32 items and the proceeds go to benefit as bro children's hospital.

[00:23:38] I was not aware that they had that kind of involvement.

[00:23:41] As it's kind of a weird thing, you don't want to advertise it too much.

[00:23:45] It's like, hey, everybody, look at us, care kids. Are you taking care of kids? No, you monster.

[00:23:50] You can't do that.

[00:23:52] But it is nice to see that they behind the scenes and behind closed doors were doing some good.

[00:24:01] Yeah, I'm trying to look up the history. Let's see, as bro children's hospital was built in 1994,

[00:24:07] it is the only pediatric emergency department level in trauma center in Southeast New England

[00:24:13] as well as the only pediatric emergency incidentation.

[00:24:16] Food allergy center and pediatric critical care team in New England's and operates 24 hours per day,

[00:24:22] seven days a week. When did it get hazardous name?

[00:24:27] Whatever, it just fun fact.

[00:24:31] Also, super seven, this is something that was kind of actually maybe the one thing to really be announced

[00:24:35] or just they are putting out an ultimate figure for a Lord dragon.

[00:24:42] You may have bought him in the lightning collection of flavors, two different lightning

[00:24:45] collection flavors I believe, or if you're you know, G, the Bandai 1, brown

[00:24:50] Warpicon. But this is on January, it comes with a damage red helmet, damage

[00:24:56] sub-up, swap-all heads, all that. And there go with these figures to make it like the one

[00:25:03] figure you'll ever need to buy. But $55 and it's out in, out of round December,

[00:25:11] and Team Earth says January, Super 7 sites as December. But if you click the link

[00:25:17] in our show notes, you can get a 10% discount off your order.

[00:25:22] And thank you to Entertainment Earth for setting that up for us.

[00:25:26] And note that we may get a commission. But anyway this figure looks really cool.

[00:25:30] Yeah, again the comics were never my thing. But if you're a Lord dragon fan,

[00:25:36] this is the one to get.

[00:25:38] Yeah, I mean, you know, it's a shame that we never got the live-accum series that JDF was

[00:25:43] pulling for, but it really is a fantastic likeness of him on the figure. Well two different likenesses of him.

[00:25:54] And I know the band I won came with an option of a head for Saba.

[00:25:59] You just pop off, but no such option here. There's a morpher.

[00:26:06] And like one of those suggested poses has him holding Jason's helmet on his side.

[00:26:12] And you can see how detailed the cracks are. That's just absolutely fantastic.

[00:26:16] I mean that's why you pay the money for an ultimate figure for details like that.

[00:26:21] Exactly. And the fact that character never appeared in

[00:26:27] the show gives them the opportunity to be more creative and what details they include.

[00:26:35] That is true. I don't have anything to add to that. You summed it up perfectly.

[00:26:41] And some of you was at our MorpherCon that we all kind of assumed was coming

[00:26:45] 3-0 after putting out the Z-O team had display of the Power Rangers Turbo team.

[00:26:53] And I actually really had not seen any of their figures like in real life and seen them in real life.

[00:27:01] It's something different. Like I can see why some do it pay under some bucks for those things.

[00:27:07] Yes, it is making the question of how far they are going to go because I know some people were like,

[00:27:14] wait a minute, they've gotten the Turbo. That means they're going to get through everything.

[00:27:18] There's a long way to go before they go ahead and hit everything.

[00:27:23] Right. And you kind of wonder, you know, like you can sell individual money more from the Ranger as easy.

[00:27:30] But they had to sell the Z-O Rangers as a team because

[00:27:35] because that's the only way that it makes sense.

[00:27:38] But in Turbo would probably be as a team too. You kind of wonder like, is there a point where it's

[00:27:45] kind of diminishing returns? Like who is going to buy a team of light speed Rangers?

[00:27:52] I mean, there might be somebody. But you know, they got to make money.

[00:28:00] Sure do. So it's nice to see but I'm curious how far they go and at what frequency,

[00:28:08] how quickly they go through other teams?

[00:28:11] Yeah. And the question is, how far are they able to go? I asked this at the Super 7

[00:28:20] booth and the guy said as far as he's last year or rather some months back,

[00:28:27] has bro pawned off the Master Toy Lays and two playmates. And starting next year,

[00:28:35] they're going to crank you out and then PR toys to the, till the cows come home. And

[00:28:42] how does that affect the specialty market? And the guy I talked to the Super 7 booth said as far

[00:28:48] as he knows like there's still plenty of things for next year, et cetera, et cetera.

[00:28:54] And it would actually be a case with three as a year as well unless and until somebody tells them to stop.

[00:29:01] Yeah. Also in the distance, in October at their virtual renegade,

[00:29:08] renegade will launch a Kickstarter for the Heroes of the Grid add on eternal Rangers. Now,

[00:29:16] like I have years of the grid, I don't play it because I'm never in any situation where

[00:29:21] I could play with me. But that's cool and I'm sure they're,

[00:29:27] they're going to be a great player. I don't mean to stand like talking down to you if you are.

[00:29:32] I just mean, I got too much stuff. Isn't that the case for so many people? They leave these things?

[00:29:42] And also, well, here's some positive Kickstarter news. Last episode we talked to Tommy Trambeth

[00:29:48] about her Kickstarter for when we transform and that just yesterday did close and that was funded.

[00:29:56] And I am really happy for me. I don't know off hand when that project is ready to go.

[00:30:02] You can go back and listen to our last episode and hear all about it from her.

[00:30:09] Yeah, and that's going to become a Patreon. The Kickstarter is just for the first issue,

[00:30:16] which is going to be depending on what you've acted out. It's going to be a physical thing.

[00:30:21] And I also spoke to Andrew the editor of Metal Force. Another Kickstarter project we

[00:30:27] featured on the show while back. He said everything's coming along, but there's not really anything

[00:30:34] to report just yet still kind of getting all the funding together because that didn't make

[00:30:44] Kickstarter didn't make as much as they wanted to me to hit the goal, but they didn't like

[00:30:50] like they need other investors. I mean, you need that story of everything. So but he's still

[00:30:55] like had a table, we had a mock-up helmet there. They're still working on it, but it's going to

[00:31:01] take some time. Now it would out of con. Boy, you know, all like I actually took a lift in the rain

[00:31:10] because I didn't bring in a brawl like it dumped them from my hotel like a block away back to the

[00:31:19] disco tech's panel because there's always something, there's always some more to say. And I got

[00:31:24] locked out and my dumb ass had to sit outside the panel room streaming the panel. I mean,

[00:31:31] thankfully it was streaming but all the years, all the years for me to be locked out of a disco

[00:31:37] tech day, this was probably the most frustrating because they dropped the absolute mother load.

[00:31:49] You know, they're putting out key citer. They're putting out wind specter. Wind specter.

[00:31:55] They're putting out um, electric dragon, 80,000 volts, which is got to your issues,

[00:32:01] took Satsu action film. They're putting out robogasia.

[00:32:10] They're putting out V3. They're putting out shiter. It was just like the absolute mother load.

[00:32:18] Um, and some of these are not things that people thought you know, would whatever be possible.

[00:32:26] The V3's are rescue. Yes. I was going to say I've thought I remembered hearing about V3 sometime ago.

[00:32:34] That's right. That's right. Um, they just put out G-bond and shoddybond. So,

[00:32:40] they're really going deep into that um, I mean, key citer. I mean, key citer is rescue too.

[00:32:45] I mean, go both key citer and V3 were uh, were put out by generation key citer.

[00:32:52] And if you have the releases, you shouldn't necessarily feel bad because those are still good releases.

[00:32:59] But these episodes will include all their episodes in HD along with the extras like interviews,

[00:33:07] cast union, minor notes, photo gallery. The aligners actually will be by our friend Mike Dent.

[00:33:15] And the reason, you know, like this is supposed to be out. Let's see, V3 is going to be out

[00:33:21] in 2024. Shida is going to be out September. Um,

[00:33:28] key citer is 2024. I gotta get it out. Some of these don't necessarily have dates because

[00:33:32] their, you know, talks out to series are long. That's why taking so long to get Digimon done because,

[00:33:39] approvals, all that um, whale boy. It's certainly a lot and I know people are quickly trying

[00:33:47] to fill their shelves. Yeah. Yeah. And key citer that we raised going to include a mid-chitche

[00:33:53] recording of the key citer stage event that included Digiscape on. So that's going to be really

[00:34:01] cool. It's going to be infuriate Digiscape on and all sorts of other things, basically everything

[00:34:06] they could find at Digiscape has really been doing the Lord's work in this regard. Yes, I think I saw

[00:34:13] them announced maybe it was another company correct me if I'm wrong. They also announced that

[00:34:17] they're doing the Blue Raver lease of Mystery Science Theatre? No. I think what you what they did

[00:34:22] announced was uh, Mxc. Mxc, that's right. Well, I misspoke. That's that's a my face because the

[00:34:29] Mxc is the one I was particularly excited about especially because a season four and five are very,

[00:34:35] difficult to get a hold of. I don't think they ever officially released season five prior to this.

[00:34:41] So that was certainly a pleasant surprise for me. Yeah, they released season four in um,

[00:34:49] in 2008 um but that's probably like super duper duper out of print. There are few episodes

[00:34:55] that they can't release um yeah. At this time the releases are just going to be

[00:35:05] up to season four. Which makes sense. Season five is mostly just the same footage as previous

[00:35:14] seasons just been new commentary anyway. Yeah, there are a couple of episodes they can't release

[00:35:18] for licensing reasons. Yeah um you know they're just we're not available. So we are going to take

[00:35:26] a break and we are going to talk about our power more of kind of experience seeing a bit. My nephew

[00:35:33] like the power Rangers acted this on it both day where you have all the crans around. They look like green

[00:35:38] ranger has a let me show you the real set time. I will show you the episode with green ranger actually

[00:35:43] guys and they were sitting there looking come with kids. Come on kids. Come on like no green ranger can

[00:35:48] have me daddy and the parents were like, where are you showing our kids? The anime world order

[00:35:53] podcast not suitable for children because the truth hurts. Visit us online at www dot anime world order

[00:36:01] dot com. And we are back so as we mentioned the top last weekend was the semi-annual buying yeah

[00:36:13] whatever every two years. Power work on uh essentially the official power just convention though there

[00:36:20] was no presence from Hasbro this time around and uh nevertheless it was still incredibly busy.

[00:36:29] He was probably the biggest attendance that one of these things I think have ever seen

[00:36:36] and I've technically seen all of them. And Mike for those you don't know he staffed power more

[00:36:42] for god. He yes I do. He moderate several panels but it was it really a great time. Despite you know

[00:36:58] all we've great to return to pass Athena and see friends and see people like where they only

[00:37:05] convention where you could well one of the ant folk events is really where you can do some of

[00:37:09] the cosplays and just the craftsmanship and also seeing people think guess you don't normally see

[00:37:14] like Jason Chan it was his first power work on and he just seemed kind of dumbfounded that so many

[00:37:19] people were there. Um and they it was yeah it was really I mean it's been an experience probably just as

[00:37:26] for them was for us. And you mentioned guests in particular there were so many guests that

[00:37:33] was stopped with this time around that this was their first time yeah this person Havi Air alone sponsored

[00:37:39] 14 different guests in order to come out. Yeah and we're just crazy. Yeah my favorite kind of guests

[00:37:48] the ones who seed we have it too to be as excited to be there as you are like like Nikolai Nikolai

[00:37:57] Nikolai is awesome. Nikolai is just a trooper for reasons that I don't feel like getting into

[00:38:05] he had to fill the slots or moderator for the sixth Rangers panel because over the course of

[00:38:12] the weekend it became vacant and this guy Rolo was asked to do. It said he was ready. He came like 30

[00:38:19] minutes beforehand. He was ready yet. I was no surprise he was good to go and apparently there

[00:38:24] some sort of miscommunication miscommunication about Morphicon drink and they someone had asked

[00:38:30] Nikolai to moderate himself. So it kind of did this weird hybrid thing where Nikolai did a lot of

[00:38:38] it but Rolo got to ask a couple questions on the microphone but that man Nikolai is a total professional

[00:38:45] on the microphone he's engaging listen to and he's really good at letting others speak and I was very

[00:38:50] impressed at how he handled being thrown into that kind of situation very last minute.

[00:38:57] Yeah absolutely and like you went to his hairlie with Stamp U with this like Rino Ranger

[00:39:02] Stamper that he got and he would make you sign the banner, the poster board or whatever it is table

[00:39:10] and just like ad provo nothing he pulled out he pointed out a photo of a set photo make up photo

[00:39:18] from the set of Daredevil and said you see that tattoo in my arm there on the photo and

[00:39:27] what's that tattoo of and I clocked it right away 10 rings and he was he's seen really excited by the

[00:39:34] idea that he was connected to this larger Marvel concept even if it was just Marvel tell

[00:39:40] it's messing around but he's like really seemed intrigued by the idea that that he his character

[00:39:48] could impart that even if Vladimir is super super dead. There you must so. And again and Nikolai just

[00:39:57] have to be the first one there are so many great guests that come to hand up upon. Yeah and it was

[00:40:04] surreal though because like you know the thing about these cons is one of the things you get as a photo

[00:40:10] you know with a Ranger or other character in their costume and it was just so surreal seeing

[00:40:16] these people book it you know from that behind their tables to the photo and back in costume because

[00:40:24] it you know so they just feels like you're so weird it's so weird like you're used to seeing

[00:40:29] somebody in the costume on TV and seeing them basically cosplaying themselves in a sense like

[00:40:40] right in front of you it just so it's just so mind-bending. Yeah there's definitely a couple of

[00:40:47] them out there who love to put on the suits again I know as Zee and Rizik loves to put on the Ranger

[00:40:51] suits Amy Miller will always bust out the Trakina suit these days and their Brennan

[00:40:58] here is always a shoe in to wear the Dino charge stuff but it is nice to see and obviously you can

[00:41:04] get your suit at your in suit photo ops through the lovely people that pose they were there the

[00:41:10] entire weekend as well. Yeah I didn't pay for any photo ops this because they were you know

[00:41:15] like I was trying to watch it and again grad school but I think of something that Christian

[00:41:22] Vale once said I'm paraphrased about playing Batman like like yeah he couldn't like move his neck or anything

[00:41:28] like that and look but um at the end of the day he got to put on the bat he got to be Batman so it

[00:41:36] doesn't matter. Yes and we're definitely seeing that more with this the younger guard of actors who

[00:41:44] portrayed uh task members on the show you definitely because now we're hitting the generations of

[00:41:49] people who grew up watching the show. Well Brennan he especially is one example. He went to power

[00:41:55] Morford Khan as a fan before he ever got cast to be on Dino charge. I mean Yoshi's Tsidar so it was

[00:42:01] one of those people who put on the suit for like you know promotional events exactly. So it and that

[00:42:07] you and you definitely see that passion into the panels you see it when talking with these people

[00:42:13] and you can tell that especially with because I don't want to throw anybody under the bus but I

[00:42:19] definitely get the impression having done this twice now that some of the older asked members,

[00:42:25] older crew that go these conventions you can definitely tell that it's rotes to them at this

[00:42:30] point it's definitely hey I'm here to make some money but you definitely see that spark in the eyes

[00:42:38] even like Neo Sabon and younger I would say that group is always so excited to be there.

[00:42:47] Well I think also um like I was at the Wild Forest panel. I did miss that one because I was obviously working.

[00:42:56] Yeah and um Alison Kipperman and I better call Alison Kipperman and sinwong um it was her first

[00:43:05] convention they both like yeah wow yeah um but they were there and uh they kind of got emotional

[00:43:17] talking that way like to come out to an event like this and realize like what impact that they had

[00:43:24] on people and what impact the show had on people even all these years later. And to double back

[00:43:31] what I was saying before not all the panels are outs uh on Justin Nauron host page Justin Pianc

[00:43:37] he definitely performs all the panels he's only he's going in chronological order I know he's

[00:43:40] in Washington DC doing some work stuff yeah only gotten through the Friday panels at this point

[00:43:46] yeah with the prime examples of the newer cast really appreciated in the show is

[00:43:51] it brought back the diversity power Rangers panel uh shaped it a great job with that again

[00:43:56] but this time around they had Gita Sedara so on there you know pressed in Ninja Steel

[00:44:02] and Alginnebella from Jungle Fury was there just watching the panel he didn't he wasn't

[00:44:09] he wasn't build yeah he wasn't build he was just there because he was interested in it he eventually

[00:44:13] got coars to join on stage and there was a very touching moment between Alginne and Peter about

[00:44:19] Peter saying you know you're portrayal as Theo in Jungle Fury was the reason I thought

[00:44:25] I could become a power Ranger and they had a very touching moment wow yeah it was crazy so cool that's

[00:44:31] so cool which I'd been there I think you was you can say you'll see it online yeah I think it was in the

[00:44:37] next room or something like that um hmm but somebody else who was living his best life the

[00:44:45] weekend was Yasu Hisa Fudara who played going red I don't know if I told you this story Tyler so

[00:44:52] I'm setting up testing the microphones in the main ball room on it must have been Friday

[00:44:59] but it was no it was early Saturday excuse me it was Saturday morning before anything was supposed

[00:45:04] to start had a new vendor they brought these full off these floor microphones that were just put

[00:45:10] on the table so that way you could sit anywhere at the panel table and you could be heard of course

[00:45:15] some of the people on the panels did not realize that so they would pick up the microphones and

[00:45:19] eating the microphone very badly so you'll hear some audio disparities in videos of the panel that

[00:45:26] there's nothing we can really do about that when you set them to be one way and they pick them up and start

[00:45:29] eating them but I'm setting up for a sound check and I see a head pop through the door and I don't

[00:45:35] recognize who it is from a distance because I'm all the way on the other side of the room but

[00:45:39] the room supposed to be closed off to everybody so I run over there I open the door

[00:45:43] hit you as he used to for horror he's just walking around film and stuff or some sort of social

[00:45:50] media I don't know if it was an Instagram short or a TikTok or anything like that YouTube or something

[00:45:54] yeah yeah and he's like do you want to be in my video like yeah sure I'll be in your videos like

[00:46:00] this is speaking English he had a translator with there as well okay little English enough get

[00:46:06] yeah I'm pretty sure he could order a burger if you really wanted to like me and your pin yeah so

[00:46:12] there's gonna be some video out there of him going into the main ballroom asking me what the room is for

[00:46:19] and it's just me and him starting around in the main convention hall just the two of us

[00:46:25] and he does the morph and his engine sole flies out and I definitely pick up a hand at Jim say you

[00:46:31] 've done this a couple times before so I hope that video sees the life of date somewhere

[00:46:35] that was a story yeah it just one of the greatest moments of pmc was completely unscripted

[00:46:43] and nobody saw it but he did post videos him doing the the engine with Eka Darville and

[00:46:50] another yeah yeah with everybody everybody whether we like them or not

[00:46:55] I happen to be in the right place the right time where I saw him come up to Eka Darville's table

[00:47:00] yeah and it was really fun watching the swarm of people come by as soon as they realize that

[00:47:06] it was actually the meeting for the first time yeah I don't know Eka necessarily knew who it was right

[00:47:13] away yeah and it's totally dawned on him that it was his Japanese counterpart yeah well he

[00:47:18] was also wearing the wig a couple days yeah oh he had the wig on at the time yeah yeah that was so cool

[00:47:25] he was really like he was in his element the whole weekend very much so

[00:47:31] at Montesquito Reno Ace also seemed to have a really good time

[00:47:35] what do we have eight Japanese actors I think the time was up let's see one two three four

[00:47:41] I think it was eight

[00:47:45] yeah eight for show for HSA

[00:47:50] so that was a pleasant surprise to see how Tocque Sparits and all them were able to secure that many

[00:47:56] people yeah they turned out again I wish that I you know had the Japanese assistant one of those lines

[00:48:02] lines what is bad as I thought they would be well when you have two million guests it did help

[00:48:08] lower down the line except for Aaron K Hill Aaron K Hill's line oh yeah oh she went there the

[00:48:13] no so she so she's always one of the top four in terms of attendance and not being there the whole time

[00:48:19] yeah and you know initially the schedule we're not gonna get in the while but the schedule

[00:48:26] initially did not include a lot of the team panels including one of the guys like yeah I'm glad

[00:48:33] that ultimately they did get to get their flowers they did ultimately what a boy of down

[00:48:41] two is I'm not gonna throw anybody under the bus but the person in charge of scheduling the panels

[00:48:45] pretty much uh succumb to other people wanting things and it the best they could and ultimately

[00:48:53] some changes needed to be made when seasons were not happy that they were not represented like

[00:49:00] in fact there was no cosmic fury panel and they were the most recent season was kind of a

[00:49:05] no granted they wanted to have a lot of the forever red forever yellow forever pink because

[00:49:11] they wanted to listen a lot of fans had said that they missed those types of panels and they

[00:49:17] don't have them every time so it's just kind of you know you got people paying for the event

[00:49:21] you gotta make them happy this is what they want you gotta give it to them like I can't really be too

[00:49:25] mad at that I mean just that where the rationale you wouldn't have had the autism panel

[00:49:30] oh well well maybe we'll talk about that later but some of those panels like forever red I

[00:49:36] know had a really big turnout the forever pinks panel for whatever reason

[00:49:42] we had three show up Christina Masterson who had to leave early because she had a

[00:49:49] bit of photo opportunity she had to go to psychopinks actress whose name unfortunately escapes me

[00:49:55] picky david that's her name and they wanted to get just a grey in there but again the

[00:50:03] person who did the original programming double booktor because it was opposite wild force and

[00:50:09] obviously they got the wild force was the way to go and they had to combine blue green and black

[00:50:15] because there wasn't enough interest from the actors so they only had like six or seven of

[00:50:19] all those colors combined but happened to be in the room during the six-thrangers panel where

[00:50:24] 13 of them showed up and that was a fantastic panel yeah so heard yes you could like

[00:50:32] neglect kind of becoming moderator yes and you could and there's a really touching story of David

[00:50:37] david latore talking about his experience meeting clear black welder for the first time

[00:50:40] and him going like are you the purple ranger because I was the purple ranger and how they really

[00:50:46] bonded over that they seem to be very fast friends that's cool yeah he's a really nice guy I

[00:50:52] went to his table to get an autograph for a friend he seemed particularly curious about

[00:50:57] about her and you know she couldn't be here yet yeah and he um he it's graduated to her saying

[00:51:04] sorry and missed you and I got that off off uh to the mail to her she lives in Colombia so she

[00:51:12] couldn't make it but I she told me I made her here just like I saw her the morning the fact

[00:51:18] where did she couldn't be there and I was like you know let me get this for you could get me back

[00:51:22] I don't care and uh and he just such a really nice guy yeah he was actually he goes down from me in the hotel

[00:51:29] he was one of the two ranger actors who was particularly close to our hotel room the other one being

[00:51:36] uh probably strongly on a vermira as we're sharing a room two down from us on the other side so

[00:51:41] I actually got the chat of Colby and Lyanna a lot yeah out of the convention with help because I ended up

[00:51:48] so I ran a lot of ideas by them and again maybe it's just because of my background maybe

[00:51:53] it's just because I'm the right age or everything but when I see these people I don't see like

[00:51:58] actors necessarily you see this people as you see them as regular people so we definitely bond

[00:52:03] to quite a bit and I hope that shows whenever you see the beast morphers and when that comes out

[00:52:09] and I see us by the way because I do want to mention that uh I brought my fiance with me this time

[00:52:14] you did you did she was supposed to maybe join us but uh the time time it was not right for this yeah we just got

[00:52:21] back from our California vacation last night so there's a lot of stuff that both of us have to take care

[00:52:26] of so she unfortunately couldn't make it I was really hoping to get her on here to share her because

[00:52:30] she's not a power-ranger's fan by any stretch of the imagination she caught mighty morph and maybe one or two

[00:52:34] episodes when she was the prime age for it but she does not offend she does not follow the show at all

[00:52:41] and the reason we were able to do this is because we went and saw her family in San Francisco

[00:52:45] after the convention for a week or so but she did the convention with me as a volunteer and she ended up

[00:52:52] having a fantastic shy she was the first one to mention possibly going back or I ended as a volunteer

[00:52:59] I will say this there was another organization worth shouting our Rangers Sponsor's International

[00:53:04] they were definitely heavy in getting a lot of people there and being kind of third party agents

[00:53:10] for a lot of the cast yeah Rachel and I are standing around on Friday trying to find something for her to

[00:53:16] do and Ranger Sponsor's International comes up and told Rachel's like hey are you interested in

[00:53:22] a guest handler which pretty much means you kind of sit with that person for the entire time you know

[00:53:27] handled the money and take photos of people as you see fit and Rachel's like sure and they start

[00:53:32] rattling off names and she's like look I have no idea who any of these people are what's so

[00:53:37] can you just listen to the names and pick one for me so they're rattling off names and I'm like okay

[00:53:42] these are pretty good nothing too crazy and the testarouse name comes up

[00:53:47] spoke I think last time we had power more for con about how tests around did me a huge sol

[00:53:52] about when they had the kids Rangers panel or kids force and she I asked her that she should probably

[00:53:58] get a photo up with the kids force kids because they also wear the dino fury suits

[00:54:02] so she was always in my good races at that point and I know tests around is a very popular

[00:54:08] actress at these things I know that some people wanted to be with her for maybe not the best

[00:54:14] reasons and I felt that Rachel as a non fan was probably a very good pick to be with Tessa so

[00:54:20] I set up Rachel to be with Tessa for the weekend they hit it off so well it's unbelievable they're

[00:54:28] wow right yeah I didn't get a little but but seemed like um like all the dying of your

[00:54:34] people having great time I think somebody once they all that's having them there yeah yeah

[00:54:42] this is a Victoria Abbott was there too she has the nicest yeah yeah I would have you know

[00:54:49] wish that they got um got Jane Dactors who's even blanking on a hero Josephson right exactly

[00:54:57] I just read for it but you know she's down on when you had a she probably busy and

[00:55:03] kids sister or something like that but hunter dino I think somebody I think you said that somebody told

[00:55:08] her that she was setting her autograph twice too low I did not tell you that I did not

[00:55:17] think I heard that voices I had to have a sazer with a lot of people over a weekend but it's like

[00:55:23] she was setting like 20 something when she easily could have been charging more oh I know Tessa was

[00:55:29] 40 mm yeah I mean there were probably other actors you're maybe charging more than the market

[00:55:35] should bear but you know it's power more of a con and people if you want that on here if you

[00:55:39] get the autograph like I think one of the people I I think the only graph I came home with

[00:55:45] was that of Jason Chan who didn't really have line in stable was able to talk to him you

[00:55:49] were a bit about you know about the convention and what ninja storm meant to me all that

[00:55:55] yeah all of that's not against Jason Chan it's more wary was placed because he was exactly opposite

[00:56:00] all the Japanese actors yeah and the and also seen John and Walter Jones in fact you talked about

[00:56:06] like hotel I was on the same floor at least uh room in Turner was carrying his helmet all that

[00:56:14] uh and but there were a number of Ranger guests in the Hilden where I was staying I shared a really

[00:56:22] awkward elevator ride with Austin St. John I'm not sure if he remembered me um but apparently wasn't

[00:56:29] the only person you shared in awkward elevator ride with Austin John or shared any other kind of awkward

[00:56:36] space with Austin St. John because you know the elephant to the room Austin did kind of

[00:56:44] thought was actually a pretty decent reason and that Charlie Kersch was unavailable she wasn't right

[00:56:48] and yeah and they started out for the look and always but at that point I'm like can you really

[00:56:53] be mad at him for wanting to join the mighty morphing panel right and to be fair he did say something

[00:56:59] really gracious about Charlie Kersch and her performance in the special in general which he didn't

[00:57:04] have to because he wasn't involved in right so it was nice to see him there I know he had a very

[00:57:10] touching moment with a fan near the end of that panel so yeah it just shows that people are

[00:57:15] complex like say which is well about Austin St. John we certainly have on this podcast there are moments

[00:57:19] where he absolutely does step it up as a human being so I mean yeah I mean no man is an island in

[00:57:27] terms of things that they do people are complex yeah you know the same guy who said the German most

[00:57:36] guy had some great quotes also jumped out from behind his table in 2014 and took care of me and

[00:57:45] that same guy you know also can say some motivational things himself but I don't need to compare into

[00:57:54] that guy but he can also commit PPV fraud so people contain multitudes yes speaking of panels one

[00:58:05] thing that the the previous programming had really tried to do didn't necessarily agree with it but I

[00:58:11] think I understood we had a lot of panels devoted to fan projects this time around yeah in fact

[00:58:18] I ended up moderating because the needed replace a moderator a wild force new front here is a sequel

[00:58:24] series to wild force where they make a lot of profits so that was kind of neat to see very much

[00:58:29] of Saturday was devoted to a lot of fan projects and some other side quest is what I kept referring

[00:58:35] to them as Johnny Young Bosch and Jason Narvey have a film production studio together so they got

[00:58:41] a two-hour panel for that and the reason it was two hours I was a two-hour panel it was two to four

[00:58:46] that day the fact that they had a two-hour panel for their project was part of the reason why

[00:58:51] Tracy Lynn crew's got a one hour devoted to her project it was pretty much a well if they're

[00:58:58] getting this why can't I do this kind of thing yeah yeah and all I'm going to say about that is

[00:59:06] it was very fortunate to pitch a panel this time around to come back with a characters panel

[00:59:11] and I got to moderate it and oh man you want to talk about a stacked line of Jason Narvey

[00:59:17] Victoria Ashower there man are any Duncan and Kelsen Henderson as far as I know that was Kelsen's

[00:59:23] only panel this time really he didn't even really it was the only one he was scheduled for because I

[00:59:30] remember I would I like to go around to all the people well ahead of time be like hey I'm not

[00:59:34] running your panel Kelsen's like you know that's my only panel this time and I was very surprised by

[00:59:39] that yeah and Victoria Abbott that was going to be her only panel before they actually made a cosmic

[00:59:44] fury panel yeah yeah the ultra fit in there I believe that was Barney's only panel

[00:59:51] yeah there were a lot of actors just hit like one or two panels you know where's they would have

[00:59:56] been busier um no that panel was a lot of fun I cannot wait for that to go up it's probably the most

[01:00:03] r-rated of all the panels oh okay can't wait it it's it's gonna be a good time diversity is also good

[01:00:10] it's also pretty r-rated and that's simply because of Ross DeRani being on there I hope I

[01:00:17] think it's a name correctly the I think it's very fierce fear is DeRani the actor played Nick on

[01:00:21] Mystic Force yeah what's up as someone who's engaging on the microphone but has absolutely no

[01:00:26] filter that's certainly one of them this was his first PMC since I believe he was yeah that was in seven

[01:00:32] that's right that's right I think um it was him Jack Gooseman definitely Philips

[01:00:39] Alginnebella Peter Sedarzo I think that was everybody that was on that one but that was

[01:00:45] he I guess the problem with PMC is like there's only one of you and you can have so many panels

[01:00:50] what I think how to go back to kind of think I was seeing the film it so you can yeah exactly

[01:00:55] actually I think something about that is like I think that in light of the fact that a lot of these

[01:01:01] panels are being filmed by somebody I think staff needs to do something about the sort of person who's

[01:01:09] like up towards the front with a selfie stick and blocking people's view yes you had mentioned

[01:01:14] that during the the show up panel I believe that was I think it would in my case yeah

[01:01:19] somebody was like blocking my view with the camera yeah because fortunately Tyler was kind of my

[01:01:26] eyes because I kind of had to run three rooms at the same time I remind me to circle back

[01:01:30] up on that I have a story about that yeah Tyler was definitely my eyes and ears for one of the

[01:01:35] panels friend of Ranger Cass Lisa Jay was another set of eyes and ears that she was telling me

[01:01:40] some stuff if something needed to be tweaked your fixed or whatever Eric Francisco was there too

[01:01:45] he was helping me out with a little bit of stuff wasn't there oh Eric was not there no Eric

[01:01:51] is a doppelganger somebody was definitely super friendly towards me that I thought it was yeah

[01:01:55] he asked me to get me to get him so from Cioscianonaka's table if he's there and I told

[01:02:00] me one listen to Cass he wouldn't be there and wasn't there anyway oh I'll be gang you're out

[01:02:06] there then so I am sorry about that yeah I definitely had three or four people that were helping

[01:02:11] me out in terms of seeing things the reason why I mentioned my comic relief care just panel is

[01:02:16] we had to go on right after Tracy Lynn Cruz's panel in the same room and let's just say I was

[01:02:23] talking about it with all four of the people who were on the panel I wanted to get the Katrina's

[01:02:28] so badly they just had a photo of it couldn't get out of I really wanted three and three and

[01:02:32] there's a men and women split for the comic relief characters so I felt bad for Victoria being

[01:02:36] the only woman let's just say everybody on the panel was definitely in the same boat as I was

[01:02:41] regarding Tracy Lynn Cruz's panel and how I may or may not have tried to get a cancel over

[01:02:46] the course of that weekend and Jason Narvey definitely kind of goes on a tirade about Tracy

[01:02:53] during the panel with the point where I didn't have to so yeah let's just say people definitely

[01:03:01] knew about Tracy's panel he had about 50 people or so in attendance but a lot of people were not

[01:03:08] happy and the people who is pretty much two or three people that were responsible for making that happen

[01:03:15] and once we all found out about it it was kind of unavoidable that it could be moved but I will say

[01:03:23] that Tracy did actually hear the criticism and did change the subject of her panel somewhat

[01:03:30] to make it more palatable to everyone I will give her credit she did listen I think um

[01:03:40] I've no way to speak for that community either do I but I think to tell you

[01:03:48] around it was just say it it was an autism panel I think it did say when it was did I whatever

[01:03:54] but it was an autism panel I think you can't say this but I can say it Scott Zilner the

[01:04:03] proprietor often prioritizes his relationships with potential guests over everything else

[01:04:12] and you know we did see that we've seen that with Samuel Bentah being invited back to last

[01:04:20] one that we had to cancel we saw it with hectic David Jr being well with his door

[01:04:26] we saw this year with Austin John being allowed to attend and we saw it again with

[01:04:34] that panel being allowed to be put in the schedule without Scott or anybody else who was putting

[01:04:41] it together so much as Googling what autism speaks is what they stand for

[01:04:49] and why neurodivergent individuals don't like when I was working for a cup of coffee at Tauce

[01:04:58] University the men's basketball team has in autism awareness night and that has to be like

[01:05:04] carefully calculated to keep the peace between the fact the coach is a supporter of autism speaks

[01:05:14] has an autism son and the family at bank roles the school center for adults with autism

[01:05:22] is very much not a fan of that and so it's not a feel the night itself isn't affiliated

[01:05:28] with any group in particular it's just an awareness and the you know color or whatever is

[01:05:33] specifically chosen so that it doesn't match with autism speaks or any other group like that

[01:05:41] it's like like switch it in basically yeah like I understand why they let her do it's

[01:05:50] I know that there's some people who are very upset that the panel happened at all

[01:05:55] yeah I tried my best to get a canceled I really did I ran it for up as I could

[01:06:00] like I think if you want to do a panel on neurodivergent and a fan community

[01:06:05] and have that emerge from the fans then that would be great that would be awesome but this was

[01:06:13] not that and about that though is because the panels are filmed it becomes a bit of what a fan

[01:06:21] wants to be willing to be seen purely by where they fall on the spectrum as opposed to who they

[01:06:28] panel was not reported no they they specifically said this was the one panel you could not

[01:06:34] record we did not record it's definitely somebody recording with their cell phone in the front row

[01:06:39] even though there were multiple warning saying yeah but here's some of the it was awesome in

[01:06:44] program as we can the cosplay contest goddamn I missed that because that was like the very end of

[01:06:50] the day on Saturday yeah but to do see some of the photos that we posted yes it was incredible

[01:06:55] yeah I thought that thought daughter space cosplay that was so cute it was her birthday and she got

[01:07:02] an autograph with her dino and just like so cute like she won yeah they wanted judges award yeah

[01:07:09] the one that won the contest was a uh go say go say great Megzord oh go say

[01:07:19] was it go say great Megzord or was it the like the ultimate or the legend like the the gokaio

[01:07:23] you might have seen running around the legendary Megzord yeah that was great yeah yeah I'm sorry

[01:07:28] loose track of what was called wet and that's um hard to there was also Megadragans or that did not

[01:07:33] and I I understand what you're saying there if you allow me to circle back for a second yeah

[01:07:38] because I was running three rooms at the same time was sound there were some other people there who

[01:07:44] were blessed their hearts they were trying so hard to help but I would set I would before a panel

[01:07:48] I had the opportunity I would sound check all the mics and this was a case where they set up

[01:07:53] the equipment on Thursday before I even got there and they threw out the cords that were bad

[01:07:57] fine did they replace the cords that were bad no so we were definitely left with

[01:08:04] you were microphones then normal I think we had six in one room and five in the other

[01:08:08] on terms of the side rooms a programming we definitely need to do something in terms of programming

[01:08:14] the future I'm gonna try to be on programming for 2026 if I should do it because we need to have

[01:08:20] something happen where prime example the villain is this panel that Neil Caplin was in charge of

[01:08:26] on Saturday when Neil Caplin told me I stopped by his booth a couple times so we talked about like

[01:08:31] tech stuff uh he pretty much said that I think going forward he doesn't want to be a guest at power

[01:08:38] more for con any more but he wants to continue moderating panels because because he said he's

[01:08:42] so far removed from the show at this point and he said a lot of the voice actors at that

[01:08:45] generation not really making them much fair as to if I having the booth but he loves going

[01:08:50] and he loves meeting friends and he wants to be involved still but he was doing it.

[01:08:54] Yeah it's a special voice actor like him because not like he was you know

[01:08:59] voicing you know we villains or anything he was voicing gludo and diabolico

[01:09:04] yeah and diabolico but like like god as iconic as someone like Barbara Goodson exactly

[01:09:11] so we get to the villain this is panel and I was told to make sure that the rooms were set up

[01:09:16] for the correct number of chairs for the schedule and I saw that there were seven guests

[01:09:21] scheduled to be on the villain as his panel so I set up eight chairs you know seven bus

[01:09:26] a moderator. Irving the villain as this panel we had a V2-burst panel this time around

[01:09:32] and the one panel room was actually closed for that hour specifically to set up the special

[01:09:38] equipment needed for the V2-burst panel they had multiple microphones because they were having

[01:09:42] discord integration they were gonna have people allowed to chime in on discord everything it's very

[01:09:47] neat and we ended up getting it to work which is super cool. It was kind of an all hands-on deck

[01:09:52] situation while that's going on. I kept an appear outside the room and I see it'll be strong

[01:09:58] looking a little lost trying to figure out what's going on so I run out there because obviously you know

[01:10:02] I've been talking to Colby and Leanna all weekend and like hey Colby was going on I said

[01:10:06] is this where the villainous as panel is and I'm like no it's all the way on the other side of the room

[01:10:09] so I walk with Colby to show where it is and I take a look inside the room and there are 15

[01:10:15] actresses on the panel all of a sudden they had seven on the main stage and on the left side of

[01:10:20] the stage on the floor they just kind of had chairs strewn about. Colby's like wisely on it

[01:10:28] to I later learn that all the villainous is I don't know how they decided what seven were supposed

[01:10:35] to be on there maybe a lot more like recent additions to the guest lists they all kind of

[01:10:40] invited each other to be on the panel so they all decided to show up and poor new capelin the

[01:10:47] micr he's got the microphone he's asking a question he's charting off the microphone he's running

[01:10:52] in front of the speaker to avoid feedback he turns back on the microphone and he hands the microphone

[01:10:56] to somebody to answer the question and it looked like I get why he was doing it I told me

[01:11:01] he was very thankful that he did that and I explained why I couldn't have made it better because

[01:11:05] I said exactly what was going on. That was probably the most embarrassing moment of me because I thought

[01:11:09] like it looked bad on my part just because we hadn't set the room properly you'll see when the

[01:11:14] sixth range of panel comes out who had slated 13 ranges to be on it if I know ahead of time how many

[01:11:19] people are going to be on there I'll set the room properly and it'll be good to go but unfortunately

[01:11:25] because I had set the room for the scheduled number of people and they all kind of invited each other to

[01:11:29] be on there it looked bad I'm sure that was a good panel anyway but that's what happened there

[01:11:36] yeah the sunspanel you had Dan Southworth like running two and from the six range of

[01:11:41] hands yeah he made a great entrance in the sixth panel but again he wasn't supposed to be on the

[01:11:46] stunts panel they just kind of invited Peter Zhang was not supposed to be on the stunts panel and he

[01:11:50] just kind of invited himself on the panel it's great to have him so what you're going to do yeah

[01:11:55] it's like we appreciate the enthusiasm but I don't want people to expect us to be

[01:11:59] ready all the time because you'll probably and the ultimate theme of the main

[01:12:04] bubble I had with P.M.C. is that we were incredibly short staffed that was the main problem

[01:12:09] oh yeah yeah and we're making this in four of that because we had so many guests and it turns out a lot

[01:12:15] of them wanted handlers so they called from the volunteers pool having all these handlers so

[01:12:20] we didn't have the hands on deck we needed to do everything else that's right this is something

[01:12:25] needs to be addressed I mean Charlie Courish had her parents there but there were yeah I can

[01:12:31] definitely see how that can be a strain on the staff because you don't have enough volunteers

[01:12:36] to provide a handler for everyone the whole weekend and there were definitely a number of

[01:12:40] volunteers I can't name names nor would I that sign up to volunteer got their volunteer

[01:12:48] pass and then dipped just to get access to everything for free oh that's rough I think that

[01:12:54] needs to be a little more strictly governed like and again the main person who was in charge

[01:13:03] of that aspect of things was not there for the entire convention so there was definitely a big

[01:13:09] pool that we needed to fill so a lot of us definitely stepped up there was a few people that

[01:13:15] actually became volunteers just because I wanted to help which I very much appreciate yeah

[01:13:22] I know that people say PMC is a hot mess and there are ways that it is I will say that

[01:13:29] even though there are parts of it that were this time around there were definitely people there

[01:13:33] that helped rectify the situation and make it better and it's interesting because I always

[01:13:38] I'll go online and see how people respond to PMC and most of the people who badmouth PMC especially

[01:13:45] this time around are people that did not go in the first place and most of the people that

[01:13:49] went to PMC said that they had a fantastic time I mean there are people who boycott at PMC

[01:13:54] I understandably so and I'm not saying that you're wrong for doing that I agree with you

[01:13:59] again my whole thing is as a staff member I feel like yes there are some situations that

[01:14:07] would cause someone to boycott but PMC is such a large behemoth where all those controversial

[01:14:12] things didn't I didn't even really deal with and you can't make it a bad situation for the fans

[01:14:17] that still want to go still have to try and make it the best possible convention for those who

[01:14:24] are still willing to go so that's the mindset I have going into it yeah yeah um

[01:14:30] so what was your favorite memory that you'll take away from this years gone besides being a

[01:14:36] YouTube star is that what I'm yeah I don't know if I'm gonna call that I mean that's up there

[01:14:42] just seeing Rachel and Tesla get along as well as they did like obviously there's a strict rule in

[01:14:49] where you're supposed to delete everybody's all the cat like the S numbers and everything

[01:14:53] if that wasn't the case I definitely see Rachel and Tesla being friends and communicating after

[01:14:58] the fact that I don't think they're going to test it's got a specific number for the US and everything

[01:15:02] and she has gotta go back to New Zealand at some point but no just seeing them hit it off really

[01:15:06] well really bonding with Colby and Leona again just because we saw them so many times just because

[01:15:12] we ended up taking the elevator in the high at a lot um i didn't get to walk the floor that much

[01:15:19] again just because I was working so hard especially moving TVs around we only had two TVs and

[01:15:23] three rooms and all these panels wanted to have a TV especially these fan projects on Saturday

[01:15:28] if you want to be a vendor a PMC that has a panel that's fine let us know ahead at time what you need

[01:15:34] that would help so much instead of showing up be like we need a TV okay you're not getting one but

[01:15:41] like we don't have the resources for that uh but like i said be more first panel was great

[01:15:47] I actually did something new this time around where i put all seven of their of the panel is

[01:15:52] names and a hat it was like a fishbow like a pure rail hand sanitizer emptied out plastic fishbow

[01:15:59] look and thing they had all of them draw their own names and whoever they drew they had to ask

[01:16:04] that panelist a question it could have been anything they wanted so we had some really fun

[01:16:10] unique questions about these morphers that no one else had ever asked before which was my goal

[01:16:14] wing in because that's interesting yeah i always like these panels are really a same questions

[01:16:19] yeah so i and i ran a biol of my head of time and they're all like that's a fantastic idea

[01:16:23] so we definitely get to hear some things ask that ever had been asked before the rangers really

[01:16:29] appreciated my question about and you'll see rory had a fantastic answer to it i asked uh being

[01:16:37] of the younger generation and kind of seeing superheroes growing up when you were a kid uh just being

[01:16:42] on social media take away from the mistake of being a superhero and they really liked that question

[01:16:48] because no they'd never been asked that before so i like asking really insightful things

[01:16:53] my comedy panels obviously a huge highlight i kind of felt like the burlin wall between Jason

[01:16:58] Narvey and that era of the show was the new zoon went to era of the show because they were all

[01:17:03] on the other side of me right that was super fun and you know just getting to see some people

[01:17:09] having everybody who was on the mystic force panel like Jeff Dolan john to eat a richie

[01:17:14] brand kautison oh they all came up to you such a gentleman yes and they all came up to me and said how great

[01:17:19] of a job i did in moderating the mystic force panel last time that was kind of that that'll set

[01:17:26] you buzz in for the entire weekend they actually remembered right right and john to eat like

[01:17:33] if he had always understood solid dude yeah if you go into instagram it's incredible like how

[01:17:40] like he could easily like wash his hands with having been in powertures you look at everything is done everything

[01:17:46] he's doing um but he's still very gracious towards this show that gave him his career yeah i've

[01:17:55] regret not seeing the rpm panel it just didn't work with the scatle yeah it was great it was great

[01:18:01] um in fact it reminds me um to say point into them in the crowd um any gazillion and madeline

[01:18:08] packs and uh where they are killed and yeah they were there just in the back doing the filming

[01:18:16] yeah only after the fact and he's uh Eddie gazelle is just standing in the backs of just

[01:18:22] his like uh because he didn't recognize him he's like oh can you can I help you like are you trying

[01:18:26] to find a room he's like no no I'm in the right place i was the executive producer of rpm for the

[01:18:31] first half i'm Eddie gazillion and just as like wanted to get up on there and Eddie's like they're

[01:18:35] not gonna know who i am i never met the cast at all during the point of the show they don't even

[01:18:40] know i'd say nope he never met them he never met him he never met him that's really interesting what

[01:18:46] that does what that does what never met him so they had no idea who he was i mean they probably

[01:18:52] is what they'd help never saw him in person so he felt that it would be good at all but yeah

[01:18:57] he was definitely there that's what that's a little bit of peace that's why considering considering

[01:19:04] you know how i mean obviously the cast knew he was there because they kept pointing to him yeah

[01:19:13] I think maybe he was just being shy oh okay maybe you thought that maybe the fans wouldn't know who he was

[01:19:20] oh okay okay i mean that's very interesting um you'll probably hear a story you're too

[01:19:28] about Dan youing during the convention that i'm not willing to go into but if you was apparently

[01:19:34] having a grand old time of pmc and i'll leave it at that yeah yeah we're not getting too uh his

[01:19:40] table or mild cough orns but uh like they always seem so busy you know yeah apparently mila was

[01:19:46] having the time of his life at a late as always a treasure i didn't get a chance to uh yeah

[01:19:50] anything with this time around but i did get to talk to her quite a bit in 2022 she's great

[01:19:55] she's also one of those people that you think that she would put it behind her but she's always there

[01:20:00] yeah yeah yeah i mean again this is a show that you know whatever the bumps and bruises

[01:20:06] gave in their visas indeed and i always have to give credit not only to uh Justin who filmed everything

[01:20:15] that you'll see online at some point uh not only to the rest of the pmc staff and volunteers

[01:20:20] but to the venue staff as well they are so quick at tearing down that hall it's unreal

[01:20:26] and just they do a very good job of maintaining security at the event

[01:20:30] that's entirely how many of them you so i have to give them their flowers as well

[01:20:35] yeah it was when it was really nice you know even though one of the old guard doesn't go

[01:20:40] pmc anymore it was nice to see um you know some of those familiar faces or familiar you know

[01:20:50] handles uh you know people like Jesse jc you and people just hanging out with a side after um

[01:20:58] after the show ended after uh i found it like the Twitter user our condemns i

[01:21:05] um

[01:21:07] they've adamates from whales um

[01:21:11] and they didn't know recently i want to say a day or two ago

[01:21:14] yeah there will be a more forgotten in twenty twenty six and they are bringing back pmc express in twenty

[01:21:20] right we don't know where it was in Texas last time there's another part of just

[01:21:24] text so we don't know where you could bring in the show in the road to a really no

[01:21:28] yes but one of my main concerns going in is twenty twenty two as you told me as many

[01:21:34] people told me was such a different beast of a power more for con being my first i had no point

[01:21:39] of reference but everyone said because you know the first one after uh the height of the pandemic

[01:21:44] the the line between est and congoer was a little blurred everyone was definitely just kind of

[01:21:50] in for themselves and just a warmth and a camaraderie that was there and i honestly felt that that

[01:21:55] still there for twenty twenty four the hadn't really gone away and especially when there's no show

[01:22:01] going on right now and everyone's just still going to this convention because of the show all the guests

[01:22:08] are going they're going to a convention about a cancel television show and they're still turning

[01:22:12] out in record numbers of guests and just because of wanting to see the fans and wanting to see each other

[01:22:20] after dupling the convention this time around lends me the confidence i needed that

[01:22:25] the MCs going to be going as long as they want it to there's no real jeopardy of it going on

[01:22:31] oh oh oh oh oh oh speak it up i had a conversation on the side i did with my friend Jayce

[01:22:36] you go to drag in zero on on the forums all that um and he asked me if uh you know over the

[01:22:43] past you answered but another like people may as well have such about uh and Nicole Smith's daughter

[01:22:51] dressy up as senti characters that's where we know what it is uh and he was asking me if i thought

[01:22:58] that she was there and i said she's probably here and we don't make sure enough after the con on instagram

[01:23:06] her father posted like posted photos and power more of con where she was caught playing his

[01:23:13] onke in plain sight and nobody noticed i mean it's one of those things where we're not going to

[01:23:21] exact this one she wants to live in normal life yeah exactly and she's been doing a

[01:23:26] baller job of of letting her live in normal life like she was like they're just photos

[01:23:31] her with yasi yasi yasi sufada and she's having a great time together just having a great time

[01:23:40] and um and that's probably the most exposed to the MCs ever gotten as a convention so you know

[01:23:44] gotten there loving it oh yeah and you know her cosplay is always just like top 10 oh yes for sure

[01:23:52] um and she got like like onks hand in all that uh i mean not all of us have somebody do you

[01:23:59] where you're cosplay yeah or wig oh i'll ask you to mention this real brief we uh they had

[01:24:08] and because you actually got a chance to check the sound they actually had a museum exhibits

[01:24:13] uh for Jason David Frank featuring a bunch of his stuff i know you got a chance to check that out

[01:24:17] if you wanted to go into that a little bit yeah the former costume designer and not master

[01:24:25] for powerangers were there and there were a bunch of prints at um like set photos not just like

[01:24:30] make a photo but like like photos taken on set of characters i didn't pull the trigger and i

[01:24:36] mean these prints but it's really cool to see some of these like concept like you piece of concept

[01:24:41] art and such and these like really one of a kind thing get at pmsc and along with the usual like

[01:24:49] screen use props or like cast of coins i think um and more from museum who we had a Q&A

[01:24:55] with they had the original um screen use fan temperature element at that table so that was really

[01:25:03] cool yeah and i guess i'll ask you turning the tables in yeah taking the host there for what do

[01:25:11] want to see for power more for gun twenty twenty six since you've seen all eight of these in

[01:25:15] some capacity yeah some capacity um let's see i think um i think it's safe to say that all

[01:25:25] be quote unquote problems this power more for con had or minor yet stuff that we couldn't really

[01:25:34] control ahead of time yeah yeah i think you know it would be nice to be a little more creative

[01:25:42] with the sort of program available like if you're a kind of panel you know sure whatever i

[01:25:48] don't really think there's really much of them in these panels have to talk about i think you know

[01:25:52] something it's like you know i think it's more interesting to have panels on things like stunts

[01:25:59] or the production aspect of it or you know history i think there's a please for some fan panels

[01:26:08] um but i like i think that like either you have like it needs to be clear like like what

[01:26:17] things are in the contest and why and why do these other things have their own panels go to

[01:26:23] them saying yeah i didn't know i can't help you like i do think a lot of it was there were a

[01:26:29] lot of sponsors this time to get guests there's right a lot of them were involved with fan projects

[01:26:34] so i think it was very much a case of okay you gave us x amount of money to bring these people

[01:26:40] to the convention or throw you a panel yeah i think a way to answer to address the volunteer

[01:26:46] issue is the way odicon does it um you know if you're go for you pay if you remember

[01:26:54] ship like anybody else and then if you work x number of hours uh you get that free and burst

[01:27:01] after the fact yeah so that might stop free loaders from free loading yes if they you know have to

[01:27:09] sing for their supper and then if you keep working you know additional uh they will comp some of

[01:27:16] your hotel yeah i think that's a good way to go about it uh we'll talk to the people who are still

[01:27:21] waiting for their 2022 swag from their non-attending yeah i guess the problem is yeah you may be

[01:27:27] i have no involvement in that please do not write me i have no involvement in that whatsoever

[01:27:32] you heard that you heard them send your eight mailed to Mike Manos no don't do that

[01:27:38] i'm not involved in the merch at all you heard them send your merch issues to Mike Manos

[01:27:45] oh

[01:27:50] oh boy um i will say anything or they're actively trying to get that taken care of there's some

[01:27:56] people that are actively trying to take care of all that stuff it's pretty much a case of

[01:28:00] certain people who are no longer affiliated have like the giant databases of the people that need

[01:28:05] to get stuff as just a matter of getting it from people yeah i uh as for going to the next PMC

[01:28:15] like i don't know if i'm going to because i kind of have a wedding to plan oh yeah yeah

[01:28:21] uh eventually yes um i think like for me the calculation is bit like like there

[01:28:31] other things i can do in LA besides just go to power workkons i get a little more out of the trip

[01:28:37] but on the other hand you know i'm getting older and i've got a girlfriend i don't feel like

[01:28:45] uh you know i mean she would probably encourage me to go but it's like you know if i were to take her

[01:28:53] with me for a lot of reasons not a trip that she would get as much out of um and she couldn't really

[01:29:05] volunteer but like just kind of like it's just a tougher cell it's not a no it's just tougher cell

[01:29:15] it happens where i am in my life and what do you because a lot can change between now and

[01:29:22] in 2026 so i'm just not sure yeah ain't that the truth yeah all right well um anything

[01:29:30] else you want to add no that's pretty much it uh i hope that this gave a fair picture of the convention

[01:29:36] like i said everyone seems to have a really good time uh the merch side of things seem to be absolutely

[01:29:40] killing it we had record numbers a guests and record numbers of attendees too so oh yeah i can

[01:29:47] feel that yeah so uh and unfortunately there was some uh some covid outbreaks after the convention

[01:29:53] it happened oh yeah i thankfully it didn't feel that i did not feel that either i tested negative

[01:29:59] it has been four years four and a half years and i have yet to get covid up apparently i don't want

[01:30:04] say i'm built differently but whatever i'm doing is working yeah um and also one last thing before

[01:30:12] we go uh the more from museum just dug up something really cool you want to check it out i'm

[01:30:17] going to put in the show notes the uh they found the original dyno range pitch that used bioman pilot

[01:30:24] footage there's some time after subon's galaxy ranges but before mighty war from power just

[01:30:29] it was ready so bonerly stitah rangeers as 6.5 minute pitch recycling more bits from lost bioman

[01:30:35] pilot cut against zero georanger footage and even some bioman um so this included things you might

[01:30:43] remember from the picture was included on the DVDs along with an americanized pebo as alpha 5 plus

[01:30:50] of a variety of new shots of the of the teens from the pilot and the desert additional interactions

[01:30:55] and a final moment of Zach and Victor Lee's dojo this pitch real includes barbe with goodson

[01:31:03] as the voice of reader repulsive while subon's dubbing treenie and jupy footage is a bioman pilot

[01:31:08] cast where years are moved production much dialogue will be recycled from the m and p r pilot and series

[01:31:15] other observations this is all from the youtube description go watch it will link in the genodes

[01:31:20] dyno readers would have been set in 2014 the zord on was referred to as both xantor the y's

[01:31:26] and zoltar which is an a n the m p r pilot uh the command center was referred to as the desert control

[01:31:32] center uh and said the power coins they were the coins of power squad and bet bu were gralk and mongo

[01:31:40] but once it was one of read at core entrances which kind of maybe understands like white

[01:31:45] it might have been on bandized mind uh and the dyno zorids and megasor were referred to as the

[01:31:53] dyno dorids again they were in pilot and the mega dyno dorid um so just wow what a find um
